ABERDEEN, S.D. (aberdeennews.com) – Seven new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Brown County, according to the South Dakota Department of Health.
That’s the biggest daily jump so far, pushing the county total to 27.
Statewide the number of cases rose 103 to 1,858. And one more death — a man from Minnehaha County who was 80 or older — was confirmed. His was the ninth virus-related death in South Dakota, according to the health department.
In Brown County, 12 people have recovered and one person has been hospitalized. There have been 471 negative tests.
Statewide, there have been 11,588 negative tests, 937 recoveries and 111 people hospitalized because of the virus, according to today’s statistics.
