ABERDEEN, S.D. (WNAX) – Changing weather patterns are no surprise in South Dakota as there are now some warning signs of potential drought.
State Climatologist Laura Edwards says after two years of flooding, conditions have changed rapidly.
Edwards says it is more of an advisory than a warning right now.
Edwards says the next couple of weeks should stay dry but cool.
Edwards says April and May provide much of the moisture for the growing season so a prolonged dry period now could be a problem later.
