State expands tracing workers to keep up with COVID

PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – As Covid-19 cases surge in South Dakota, the Department of Health is struggling to keep up with contact tracing of the people infected.

Secretary Kim Malsam-Rysdon says they have expanded their tracing workers.

Malsam-Rysdon says they have to make multiple attempts to contact people.

Malsam-Rysdon says they do attempt to reach every positive case.
