PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – While overall COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations continue to drop in South Dakota, state Epidemiologist Dr. Josh Clayton says there are still significant numbers.

Clayton says they also are watching for any signs of a Covid variant, or mutation.

Clayton says people need to continue wearing masks and social distancing while the Covid-19 vaccines are rolled out.
