ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Expect blowing snow to continue throughout the day as a major snow storm moves across the state.

Aaron Dorn, Lead Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Aberdeen, said there may even be some thunder and lightning that accompanies the snow.

Total accumulations by the time the snow finishes will likely be close to two feet.

Dorn said a warm up is on the near horizon.

He advised that unless absolutely necessary residents should refrain from travel.
