PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Tuesday, Governor Kristi Noem delivered an update on the upcoming budget for fiscal year 2022 to the joint session of the SD Legislatures.
Governor Noem saids the state is in a stronger position now than when she delivered her budget address back in December.
Governor Noem believe not shutting down the state proved beneficial and that COVID-19 vaccines is the key to success going forward.
The state is seeing an 11% increase in revenue growth. This combined with the funds from the Coronavirus Reflief Funds will see about $125 million dollars the state has to work with.
Governor Noem suggest where some of this money should be going to.
