HIGHMORE, S.D.(Argus Leader)- The South Dakota attorney general facing misdemeanor charges after authorities say he struck and killed a pedestrian with his car last year is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
Jason Ravnsborg, 44, is scheduled to make an initial appearance at 4 p.m. March 12 in Hughes County, according to South Dakota’s online court information service.
The Hyde County State’s Attorney’s Office, along with help from the Beadle County State’s Attorney, announced on Feb. 18 that Ravnsborg would be charged with three misdemeanors: operating a vehicle while using a mobile or electronic device, a lane driving violation for driving outside of his lane and careless driving.
