BROOKINGS, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota state lawmakers this session approved $7 and a half million dollars for construction and renovation of the Dairy Research Barn at SDSU. South Dakota Dairy Producers President Marv Post.
He says matching private contributions need to be raised to help pay for the facility.
Post says the benefits from this Dairy project go to dairy producers as well as consumers and students. He says this facility will help students learn technical skills necessary to work in the dairy industry along with the research that will be conducted there.
Post says technological advancements like the use of robotics has helped increase the quality and quality of milk benefitting the producers as well as the consumers.
