YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Under the “American Rescue Plan” passed by Congress last week, Mount Marty University in Yankton will get just over $1.7 million dollars.

President Marc Long says the uses will be split.

Long says it is definitely a budget booster.

Long says they do have some Covid related costs the money will help cover.

Long says the student share of the money will help those eligible for Pell Grant assistance.

All colleges and universities in the state will share in the federal funding based on enrollment.
