MARION, S.D.(WNAX)- School districts across the state are starting to write their budgets for the next school year.
Marion Superintendent Mark Froke says the two point four percent increase in state aid will help them close some gaps.
School districts have to raise teacher pay each year to meet accountability goals. Froke says that slope is getting steeper each year.
Schools have also seen several rounds of pandemic related funding from the federal government in the past year.
