ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Monday night at the Aberdeen City Council meeting, the council was looking to determine who gets to lease one of the hangars at the Aberdeen Regional Airport. Darrell Hillestad was looking to get the lease for the hangar.
Adam Altman who represented Qwest Aviation felt that all the bids for it should be thrown out.
Hillestad thought the process was a fair one.
City Manager Joseph Gaa brought up the idea of throwing all bids out to the airport board.
Airport board made the recommendation to lease the hangar to Hillestad. Here’s how the vote went.
After the vote, Aberdeen City Attorney Ron Wager brought up the next steps in the process.
After further deliberations, the City Council decides to start the bidding over again with everyone eligible and sent it back to the airport board.
