YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- As demand for Covid-19 shots slows down, health care professionals are reminding us about the importance of completing the vaccination protocol.

Liz Healy is with Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.

The hospital has been holding vaccination clinics since early this year and Healy says most people have been good about getting both shots.

Healy says even if a person has missed their second shot appointment, it’s not too late.

Over 48% of the states eligible population has now been fully vaccinated.
