ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- Black Stone Cherry will round out the entertainment schedule for the Brown County Fair.
Black Stone Cherry will play on Aug. 20 prior to Daughtry taking the stage. That’s the Friday lineup at the Larry Gerlach Grandstand, according to a Friday morning announcement from fair organizers.
Black Stone Cherry formed in 2001 and has set a new standard for southern rock, according to a news release. Based in Kentucky, the band completed its seventh album, “The Human Condition,” as global lockdowns started in 2020.
The four-piece band features Chris Robertson on vocal and guitar, Ben Wells on vocal and guitar, Jon Lawhon on bass and vocals and John Fred Young on drums.
This is the final grandstand concert announcement for the fair. Most of the announcements came in 2020. But there was no fair last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Brown County Fair is Aug. 16-22. Grandstand entertainment includes the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Sara Evans on Aug. 18, the Eli Young Band and Randy Houser on Aug. 19, and Jo Dee Messina, Michael Ray and Nelly on Aug. 21.
