YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Another strong surge in sales taxes in April.
Yankton City Manager Amy Leon says the same month last year was in the depths of the pandemic.
Leon says they normally see an upturn into spring and summer.
Leon says the “Triple B” tax, based on tourism and recreation also finally crossed into positive territory.
Leon says the good sales tax reports will help with writing the budget for 2022 which starts in mid-summer.
