YANKTON, S.D.The (WNAX)- The ribbon was cut on the Huether Family Aquatics Center in Yankton on Saturday. Despite temperatures in the low 60s, an invited crowd enjoyed the water features.

Yankton Mayor Stephanie Moser says its hard to describe the opening.

Moser says there is a long history of a swimming pool on the site in Memorial Park.

Moser says it’s a quality of life addition to the city.

The center, which cost about twelve million dollars officially opened to the public on Monday.
