YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX)- South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem says she will make another attempt to get permission to hold a fireworks display at Mt Rushmore on July third.
She talked about the process at a listening meeting in Yankton Tuesday.
Noem says they knew the court challenge was a long shot.
Noem says a letter from the President asking each state to host a “celebration from the virus” over the Fourth of July was insulting.
Noem hosted President Trump and an invited crowd to fireworks last summer at Mt Rushmore.
