PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Millions of dollars in federal childcare tax credits will soon be flowing out across the country, and the scammers won’t be far behind.

Jessie Schmidt with the Better Business Bureau of South Dakota says all the federal payouts have attracted the scams.

Schmidt says people will get the childcare payments the same way they got earlier stimulus dollars.

Schmidt says younger families, who will get these payments, aren’t normally targeted by scammers.

Schmidt says people who have questions or concerns about the payments can check for more information at www.irs.gov.
