ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – An event entitled, “A Night in a Car for Journey Home,” is set for 7 p.m. Friday, April 26 until 7 a.m. Saturday, April 28 at the Aberdeen Police Department Parking Lot.

The idea came from the Leadership Aberdeen Class, according to Bea Smith, Director of Membership and Events for the Chamber.

She said the concept is to spend an entire evening in a vehicle to get a real feel for what it is like to be homeless.

Smith said those who participate will be safe and bathroom facilities will be available. There are also several presentations and activities planned to coincide with the event.
