HURON, S.D.(WNAX)- The major fundraiser for the South Dakota Sheep Grower’s Association is set for Saturday at Magnus Livestock in Huron. It’s the South Dakota Premium Yearling Ewe (you) Sale and features consignors from South Dakota, Wyoming and Colorado. Sheep Grower’s Executive Secretary Lisa Surber says it’s a great opportunity for producers to buy quality replacement animals.
She says there will be high quality sheep coming from the three-state area.
Surber says the sale starts at 2pm and ahead of that, SDSU Extension will be hosting a sheep seminar.
Surber says the Association has awarded $500 to a South Dakota student to go towards purchase of sheep at Saturday’s sale.
