PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 1-7pm today and tomorrow in much of central & eastern South Dakota.
Weatherology meteorologist Michael Karow says we’re on the eastern periphery of a big high pressure system that’s still stuck over the western US.
Karow says a high dew point will be make the high temperatures feel even stickier the next few days– but it could be even hotter.
He says central South Dakota usually has ten 100+ degree days each summer– a mark we’ve already reached and we till have August yet to go.
