YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Finding a solution to the sediments flowing into Lewis & Clark Lake has been a long slow path.
Sandy Stockholm, Executive Director of the Missouri Sedimentation Action Coalition, says they do have an active study underway.
Stockholm says they have to find a place in the river rules of the Corps of Engineers to get any plan moving.
Stockholm says there probably isn’t one big solution out there.
The Niobrara River dumps several thousand tons of sediment into the lake every day, causing problems for towns and other users along the shorelines.
