STURGIS, S.D.(KBHB)- Riding for Resilience. That’s the slogan for a non-profit organization that held their second annual Medicine Wheel Ride Sunday.
The organization of Native American female motorcyclists and allies ride to bring awareness and resources to issues impacting indigenous peoples.
Shelly Denny is with the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women’s Society.
Denny says they raised over $14,000 last year.
Sunday’s ride began at Sturgis and ended at Crazy Horse Memorial. The ride, which featured just over 130 entries, was escorted by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
