YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Part of the reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic is millions of dollars flowing to schools under the ESSER, or Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund.

Yankton School District Business Manager Jason Bietz says they have several funds to sort out.

Bietz says they have some time to use the money.

Bietz says all of the spending has to be tied to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Yankton School Board will hold a special meeting later this month to approve the ESSER spending plan.
