YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The Yankton School Board approved the medical cannabis plan at their meeting last week.

Superintendent Wayne Kindle says a child’s caregiver will be responsible for administering the drug.

The use of medical cannabis was approved by voters last November.

Kindle says they have to set their rules within state guidelines.

Kindle says they want to help families take care of their kids.

The medical cannabis cards needed to buy and use those products will be available from the state by November.
