HURON, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota State Fair starts Thursday in Huron.
Last years fair was much smaller than normal due to the pandemic. Assistant Manager Candi Briley says the fairgrounds have been very busy since last week.
Briley says they are seeing more vendors and campers.
Briley says they will officially break ground for the new DEX, or cattle expo center this week.
The old cattle barn was destroyed in a fire last fall.

The fair runs through Labor Day.
