PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The South Dakota Historic Preservation Office is working with a survey company in an effort to look for historic properties in Brule and Lyman Counties. Liz Almlie with the Historic Preservation Office says public input is encouraged.
Almlie says Brule and Lyman Counties were due for another survey.
Eligible properties need to fit specific guidelines.
The state Historic Preservation Office would like responses submitted by September 20th. The surveyors from Johnson, Mirmiran and Thompson will be in Brule and Lyman Counties in mid to late September. Almlie hopes to have the final report ready by late next spring.
