VERMILLION, S.D.(WNAX)- University of South Dakota President Sheila Gestring gave her annual “State of the U” speech last Thursday at Slagle Hall on campus.
She began by acknowledging the people on whose land the university is located.
Gestring said the last academic year was marked by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Gestring says that support was also extended to the larger community.
Gestring says the university also gave support to students through the pandemic.
Gestring also mentioned building progress on campus, including the new, 3-story, 45,000 square-foot School of Health Sciences building.
