VERMILLION, S.D.(WNAX)- Local governments across South Dakota will be receiving funding directly from the federal government as part of a pandemic relief program.
The City of Vermillion will get about one point eight million dollars. City Manager John Prescott says they are developing some preliminary plans.
Prescott says there are some restrictions on how the money can be spent.
Prescott says infrastructure may be the best way to use the money.
Those dollars are separate from the nine hundred seventy million dollars the state is getting from the federal government.
