PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota House and Senate Redistricting Committees seem to be on separate paths over legislative districts in the Sioux Falls area.

Committee Chair, Senator Mary Duvall of Pierre, says they are still in the preliminary stages.

Representative Jon Hansen of Dell Rapids says they would like to cooperate with Senators.

Representative Drew Dennert brought up the ideas of presenting different maps.

Senator Mike Diedrich of Rapid City says there are differences of opinion.

Senator Casey Crabtree of Madison says the process has been open so far.

The committees will be on the road later this month, holding public input sessions in Box Elder. Mission, Mobridge, Aberdeen, Watertown and Sioux Falls.

Aberdeen session’s will be at the ARCC  Tuesday, October 12th at 1pm.
