OMAHA, N.E.(WNAX)- While the Drug Enforcement Administration is warning of the dangers of fake pills containing fentanyl, an old threat remains.
Emily Murray is with the regional office of the DEA in Omaha.
Murray says a very small amount of fentanyl can be fatal.
Murray says once the sale of over the counter drugs like pseudoephedrine was restricted, the production of meth shifted from small neighborhood labs to big international cartels.
Murray says the DEA continues to work with state agencies to intercept those large shipments of meth into the region.
