ABERDEEN, S.D.(Aberdeen American News)- There are 2 political forum coming up this week at Pizza Ranch.

The Brown County Democratic Forum meets at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Aberdeen Pizza Ranch, 1010 Sixth Ave. S.E.

Guest speaker is Rick Weiland, president and CEO of Weiland, Samuelson and Roosevelt a strategic advisory firm that advises purpose-driven organizations on a broad array of economic, policy and political issues. Weiland’s current project is Dakotans for Health, a grassroots network dedicated to improving health care in the Dakotas by expanding Medicaid.

An optional meal is available for a cost. The public meeting is Tuesday because of Monday’s holiday.

U.S. Rep. Dusty Johnson will be the guest speaker at the Brown County Republicans Reagan Lunch on Thursday.

The noon lunch is at Aberdeen Pizza Ranch, 1010 Sixth Ave S.E.

Johnson is South Dakota’s lone member in the U.S. House of Representatives. He serves on the Agriculture Committee and as ranking member of the subcommittee overseeing the SNAP food stamp program and the implementation of the 2018 Farm Bill.
