YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Reports out over the past few weeks show that South Dakota has again fallen to fiftieth in average teacher pay. The state had risen into the mid forties in the past few years.
Yankton School Superintendent Wayne Kindle gave a report on teacher pay to the school board Monday night.
Kindle says the district has pushed teacher pay up.
Kindle says the district ranks high among the larger schools.
Schools must meet state accountability goals in raising teacher pay each year.
