PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The State of South Dakota is seeing solid sales and use tax growth and that should continue into next year.
The Governors Council of Economic Advisors heard from Derek Johnson, Chief Budget Analyst at the Bureau of Finance and Management.
He said the last fiscal year finished strong at the end of June.
Johnson says the first three months of the new fiscal year are also very strong.
Johnson says they are looking at a national economic forecast to help them with their predictions for next year.
The council meets quarterly and advises the Bureau on fiscal trends.
