PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Monday, the House Redistricting Committee approved the statewide map designed by District 3 Representative Drew Dennert.

Dennert discuss adjustments made to the Grouse map as a result of the feedback from the public forums.

Dennert talks about the changes made to the southeast part of the state.

Dennert talks about the changes made in the south central part of the state.

Dennert talks about the importance of keeping counties together as a whole.

About an hour before the committee meeting, Representative Mike Derby from Rapid City presented a new map(Hawk Map) and discussed the differences.  First he talk about Crow Creek and Tripp.

The other difference is the Rapid City conor batum.

The Committee members voted 6-2 in favor of Dennert’s statewide map.
