YANKTON, SD (WNAX) – Rivers and streams across a wide area have been at flood or running high for some time and that will continue.

 Wendy Pearson is with the National Weather Service Central Region Headquarters in Kansas City.

Pearson says many states still have flood conditions.

Pearson says flood risks will continue into summer.

She says with the saturated ground; small amounts of rain can result in flooding very quickly.
