YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The Yankton City Commission held a strategic planning session last month, laying out goals to pursue over the next few years.

City Manager Amy Leon talked to the commission at their last meeting about one of those goals, moving toward standards for rental housing.

Leon says it could take up a lot of city staff time.

City Commissioner Mason Schramm, who is a real estate agent, says he has seen the issues first hand.

Leon says they will bring some ideas back to the commission possibly early next year.
