CENTERVILLE, S.D.(WNAX)- While new legislative district maps may be in place for the next ten years in South Dakota, the process left some bruises.

Representative Richard Vasgaard of Centerville says this year’s action may have set a precedent.

Vasgaard says having separate House and Senate map proposals was not a good idea.

Vasgaard says many people in in south east South Dakota feel like they were ignored.

Vasgaard, in his first term from District 17, plans to run for re-election.
