FREEMAN, S.D.(WNAX)- The Freeman Public School district and its neighbors will hold talks about future possibilities ranging from sports cooperatives to possible consolidation.
Freeman Superintendent Jake Tietje says the talks aren’t being driven because of enrollment problems.
Tietje says they are following the direction the school board got from a public survey.
Tietje says they want to give students in the area more opportunities.
Districts involved in the discussions include Freeman Academy, Marion, Canistota and Menno.
