NEW HOLLAND, S.D.(WNAX)- With a new legislative map in place for next year, some South Dakota legislators will be swapping districts.

Representative Marty Overweg of New Holland landed in a new district.

Overweg says he will work with the people in his current district through the 2022 legislative session.

Overweg says he plans to run for reelection next year and isn’t too worried about other candidates in his new district.

Overweg was appointed to the District 19 House seat in January of 2020 and won his first term that fall.
