PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The Covid Relief Liaison Committee of the South Dakota legislature, meeting in Pierre last week, got an outline of how state government agencies plan to spend almost a billion dollars of federal Covid funding.
Senator Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says they didn’t get a lot of details.
Hunhoff says the Department of Ag and Natural Resources had plans for most of the money.
Hunhoff says plans from the Department of Social Services will have an impact on the Human Services Center in Yankton.
Hunhoff says the Joint Committee on Appropriations will meet next month around the time Governor Kristi Noem gives her budget address.
