YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Outflows from Gavins Point Dam on the Missouri River near Yankton have been dropped to their winter levels of twelve thousand cubic feet per second.
Gavins Point Operations Manager Tom Curran says those flows may go up and down some during the cold months.
Curran says the water flowing into Lewis & Clark Lake has also dropped.
Curran says the lake will be slowly lowered to the spring level.
The Corps of Engineers has dropped the level of all the main stem reservoirs below their normal winter flood pool elevation due to dry conditions.
