ABERDEEN, S.D.(Aberdeen American News)- Mike Gage was sworn in as a member of the Brown County Commission during Tuesday’s regular meeting at the courthouse.

Gage was selected to replace Rachel Kippley, who resigned her position after being hired as manager of the Brown County Fair. Gage will serve as a commissioner through 2022.

The board also appointed commissioner Mike Wiese as vice chairman through the end of the year, a post previously held by Kippley. The commission elects new officers each January.
