PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota State Railroad Board decided to wait for the results of a feasibility study before making any decisions on a proposal to turn an idle rail spur into a walking – biking trail.
Ron Wagner of Tyndall, with the group, “Friends of the Tabor to Platte Rail to Trail” told the board of their change in plans.
Wagner says they want to have a wide open process.
Dave Scott of Geddes is concerned about the liability of people on the rail line crossing farm land.
The Board decided to delay any decision on the rail line until they hear the feasibility study.
