PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- While Congress is racing to wrap up its work for the year, states are still waiting to see how much and when they will see funding for many programs.
South Dakota Department of Transportation Secretary Joel Jundt updated the Transportation Commission on what they know about the federal dollars.
Jundt says the continue to work on the long range highway construction plans.
Jundt says their federal funding comes with lots of rules and regulations.
Jundt says under the new infrastructure bill, the state is expecting about a twenty percent increase in federal highway funding.
