PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The House Select Committee on Investigation of the South Dakota legislature meets today and tomorrow to discuss possible impeachment actions against Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.
Committee Co-Chair, Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton, says there is a lot of ground to cover.
Stevens says they need to hear from lawyer Sara Frankenstein of Rapid City, hired to be the special counsel.
Stevens says the committees actions are more political than criminal.
Most of the committees time will be spent in executive session under “attorney-client discussion.”
Ravnsborg pled guilty to two misdemeanor charges in connection with the death of Joe Boever (beaver) on Highway 14 west of Highmore in September of last year.
