FREEMAN, S.D.(WNAX)- The school boards from Freeman Public, Freeman Academy and Marion are attempting to work out a cooperative football agreement.
Freeman Public Superintendent Jake Tietge says they have been talking for a few weeks.
Tietge says the Marion School Board decided they wanted to focus only on football right now.
Tietge says they need to make a decision soon.
The boards will hold a special meeting tonight to see if they can reach an agreement. The South Dakota High School Activities Association has given the boards a deadline of February 15th to make a deal.
