YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- As Covid-19 infections continue to drop, health care facilities are starting to see fewer patients.

Doug Ekeren, President of Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, says their inpatient numbers are declining.

Ekeren says deaths will probably stay relatively high for a few weeks.

Ekeren says it might be the end of this round of infections.

Many school districts and other local governments are moving to drop their face mask requirements.
