ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The inaugural Kids Konnection Karnival is set for Friday, May 24 at Central Park in Aberdeen. The event runs from noon to 4 p.m.
Kids Konnection is a supervised visitation program that is part of Safe Harbor. Teressa Barton, Public Awareness Coordinator with Safe Harbor, said the event is not only for those kids, but open to all elementary-aged children in Aberdeen.
Obviously, it takes a lot of prep work to organize an event like this. Barton said there will be a lot of prizes at the karnival as well.
The event is free, but a donation will be accepted to help cover the cost of the food. Barton is hoping that the Kids Konnection Karnival will become an annual event.
She talked about the genesis of the karnival.
