RAPID CITY, S.D.(KCCR)- In the aftermath of a busy legislative session in South Dakota, organizations, lobbyists and key political players in the state are checking their scorebooks.

Jett Jonelis is the advocacy manager for the American Civil Liberties Union of South Dakota, and accepted an opportunity to take the temperature of their political circle.

However, Jonelis also hinted at a feeling of unrest.

Jonelis, referencing a recent Governor Kristi Noem Executive Order banning so-called “divisive concepts” from K-12 classrooms, encouraged supporters of the order to engage with other viewpoints.

The ACLU of South Dakota has opposed Noem’s EO, and has accused the Governor of “skirting” the legislative process.
