ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Fourth Annual Junior Achievement Bacon Run is set for Saturday, June 8. The event starts and ends at Pounders, 1702 Sixth Ave. S.E.

Cost of the race is $30 in advance and $35 the day of the event, and for those age 16 and under cost is $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event.

The Bacon Run is a fundraiser for Junior Achievement. Craig Green, board member of JA, talked about the outreach of Junior Achievement.

Green said the event is for runners or those who simply want to walk. The race is unique in that it features a free Bloody Mary or pop and water, and unlimited bacon.

Green said participation for the event has been solid each year.

He said JA benefits from a lot of community support, including sponsors of the Bacon Run.
